We commend the mayoral candidates for taking this step to help lead Anthony, Tx in the coming years of prosperity. We would like to extend an invitation to the Anthony community to participate in the Mayoral Candidates Forum we have planned. The order of the presentations was determined by the drawing for a place on the ballot 02-24-2025 at city hall. The format we will follow is outlined below. We look forward to hearing them present their vision for our town.

Mayoral Candidates Forum Format

⦁ Candidates will be allowed 10 minute presentations; visuals if desired, may include power point, poster boards, flyers, or a combination

Candidates should state:

⦁ why they want to be mayor

⦁ their qualifications to run the city

⦁ what they think the 3 major specific problems the Town of Anthony has and

⦁ the solutions they believe will fix the problems

⦁ The public will be allowed to ask questions after all of the presentations

A microphone will be set up in the aisle for those wanting to participate

⦁ The public will line up to ask a question

⦁ The question and a follow-up may be addressed to a specific candidate or to all of the candidates

⦁ If the person has more than one question to ask they must get in line again to ask another question. This will give everyone an opportunity to participate

⦁ Proper public decorum will be followed; no profanity, be respectful of all present, questions should be succinct, to the point

⦁ Disrespectful, threatening behavior will not be tolerated and the perpetrator will be escorted out by an officer
